Vodafone are the biggest mobile phone network in the UK. They do not make their own phones but do brand many other well known makes (like Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson).

They have various tariffs and also pay as you go offerings. If you go for a monthly fee tariff they will often throw in a free mobile phone provided you keep the contract with them for at least 12 months.

It is possible to buy a second hand mobile phone and take the swap the SIM from a free vodafone phone to get a more up to date handset at a lower price.
